...and snack time for Ali

While we were in Rhode Island, we decided to be adventurous and take the hour long ferry ride over to Block Island with both kids and all that comes with them. Our friends Gretchen, Steve, and Aoife came along as well (thank goodness) and we had the most fabulous time! First of all, the weather was absolutely gorgeous; around 75 degrees, sunny, no humidity and a light breeze. The children were very well behaved...well, lets call it under control, the whole time. We got a nice spot on the beach and spent the whole day there. Since Ballards is a private beach, we had a waitress to serve all of our drinks and food on the beach! The best part of the whole day was when Brody climbed into the stroller next to Ali and the two of them allowed us to have three full hours of adult time on the beach! It was unprecedented and incredible. Aoife and Gretchen even got drinks inside a carved out pineapple (hey, we weren't in the Caribbean but we could pretend right??). It was a fantastic day and a special thanks to our "nannies and manny" for the day, we love you guys!
