Holding my head up high

Look! I'm doing it!

Let me see whats on TV...

Too tired...I'm just going to eat the boppy instead

This morning as Ali was having some tummy time on the boppy, she held her head up alsmost the whole time! Her head and neck strength is getting much better and I'm sure it'll be no time until she is holding her chest and head up. My baby is getting too big too fast!

12 Weeks

Even though she wont be 12 weeks until Friday, here are some pictures from this week. Ali continues to be the best baby in the whole world ( I am knocking on wood)! She has been going to bed around 7:45 or 8:00 and waking up around 5 then going back to bed until 7 or so. It has been so nice! Brody is stating to show her lots of love too which is so cute, he kisses her good night and hugs her good bye at daycare. I hope he continues to be nice to her!

For Jon's birthday, I threw him a party with all of our friends and family in Rhode Island at Mimi's house. It was so fun! Mary rented a 30 ft. water slide that was quite a hit with the kids (and adults alike). It was great to see everyone having a great time. I know we did until the early hours...

...and snack time for Ali

While we were in Rhode Island, we decided to be adventurous and take the hour long ferry ride over to Block Island with both kids and all that comes with them. Our friends Gretchen, Steve, and Aoife came along as well (thank goodness) and we had the most fabulous time! First of all, the weather was absolutely gorgeous; around 75 degrees, sunny, no humidity and a light breeze. The children were very well behaved...well, lets call it under control, the whole time. We got a nice spot on the beach and spent the whole day there. Since Ballards is a private beach, we had a waitress to serve all of our drinks and food on the beach! The best part of the whole day was when Brody climbed into the stroller next to Ali and the two of them allowed us to have three full hours of adult time on the beach! It was unprecedented and incredible. Aoife and Gretchen even got drinks inside a carved out pineapple (hey, we weren't in the Caribbean but we could pretend right??). It was a fantastic day and a special thanks to our "nannies and manny" for the day, we love you guys!

Two Months Old

Alison had her 2 month check up with shots the day before we left for NY. She handled the shots pretty well! She continues to be a wonderfully easy baby! She goes to bed between 8 and 9 and wakes up around 5 and goes back to sleep until around 7 or so which makes for a very happy mommy. She has started smiling and cooing at me which is truly rewarding. She is such a chunker and I never want her to get bigger!!!!

At the campsite

Papa, Brody and I headed to the Adirondack Mountains for a fun day at his campsite on Lewie Lake. It was about 60 degrees out (which felt cold and amazing) but as you can see, that didn't stop Brody from derobing to swim in the lake. He had to go in two times! Thank goodness I brought many wardrobe changes and diapers. He also had a wonderful time feeding the ducks which started attacking us for food! I think Brody will definately do fine on an overnight trip soon.
