We all took the Metro into DC to visit the Smithsonian last weekend since the weather was kind of crummy.  The train was a big hit as was the museum.  Ali was a little difficult to manage because she didn't want to be contained at all!  After she fell asleep we enjoyed walking around and seeing all of the exhibits (especially the mummies and insects)!  We finished our trip with a ride on the merry-go-round with dad.  Overall, great trip! Planning our next outing to Washington DC...

Potty Power

Ali has shown SOME interest in going potty, however, she won't go unless she is completely naked on her froggy potty with a special book so she can see the TV.  I have stopped asking her...too high maintenance for me!!!

Ali the Insane

Ali has definately entered the terrible 2's recently.  Gone is my sweet girl, and entering is a crazy, whiney insane child.  She and Brody constantly wrestle and she frequently gives him a run for his money.  She loves being naked and rips her diaper off as soon as she can all of the time.  She also screams at the top of her lungs at all times and always says "no" to everything.  Boy, I can't wait until this stage is over.  At least she acts like a normal child at school!
She is continuing to grow up (of course).  At her 1 year check up she was 30 lbs and 34 inches tall which is pretty big for her age!  I am guessing that she will probably stop growing soon which would make me happy (less clothes!).

We made it up to NH again this summer for a fantastic four days with the Stroughs and Benevides Families.  There were 6 kids under 5 and boy did they have a blast!  We had so much fun on the boat, swimming in the lake, and playing outside.  We can't wait to visit again next year!
