February Updates

 Enjoying the beautiful weather
 Practicing his soccer skills

 Trying to kiss "Boppy"

Neither one of them would look at me while Backyardigans was on

February was quite a busy month full of weekends away, visitors (Mimi and Nana), and life in general.  The stomach flu beat us all for over a week and put the family out of commission for a while.  In between all of the sickness, we were able to visit Auntie Lisa and Stella in NY for the weekend.  The kids and I spent two nights at their new house and were fortunate to hang out with Auntie Aoife, Auntie Gretch and baby Matthew (who Alison HATED).  Jon enjoyed a child-free long ski weekend while we were in NY.
Brody has continued his swim classes at Big Vanilla and loves them!  He is super comfortable in the water and we are hoping he will be swim ready by summer. We have also just signed him up for flag football in March per his request. That should be interesting!  On a "big boy" note, he no longer wears pull ups at night or has bed rails on his bed.  As of now, we have had NO accidents (we won't count the little mishap at Lisa's...it wasn't in the bed!).  He is also working on writing his name and reading sight words (it's the reading teacher in me!).  We are so proud of him!
Ali has continued to be more and more active and talkative.  She LOVES Brody (who she calls Boppy) and tries to wrestle and kiss him constantly. She is also growing like a weed!  She is topping out at 28 lbs and is in the 95 percentile for her height (that won't last!). We also found out that Brody weighs about 42 lbs bc he had to show Ali how to get on the scale because she wouldn't have anything to do with it.  I can't believe that she is growing up so fast, I need to stop these kids from getting too big!

Legos are Taking Over Our House!!!

The ever popular Duplo blocks (Brody calls these the baby blocks)
 Loose legos...ahhhhhh
The fire and police station took too long to build to have them downstairs!  They are bedroom only toys.
And these pictures are just the tip of the iceberg.  There are also Star Wars Lego ships, police cars trucks, recycling trucks, and firetrucks.  Have I mentioned Legos drive me crazy yet?

Dinner Date with Ashley

 Enjoying pizza and juice
Showing Alison Bumblebee

Brody's best friend Ashley came over to watch the Pats game with her dad, Vin.  The two of them are so cute together!  I love that they had a private dinner in the family room.  I think Ali was jealous!

GO PATS!!!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Brody!!!

Let the decorating begin (notice the Scooby Doo balloon on Brody's seat)
 "Mom, you're killing me"...exact words
 Party time!
 Bring on the cupcakes

9 children + 10 parents = fantastic time!!!

Brody LOVED his Scooby Doo party!  We had pizza, cupcakes, ice creams, toys...the works!  All of his buddies were there; Auggie (Brody's 6 year old idol), his sister Lizzie, Ashley, Anna, Branden, Evan, Cate, and of course, Alison.  The kids destroyed the house but it was all in good fun.  I think next year we will definately do an "out of house" birthday party:)

Auntie Kate MADE this adorable hat!  I think its the cutest thing ever (not to mention the model is cute herself!!)
