Is it really supposed to snow tomorrow??

Because it's 60 degrees and Brody and I rode our bikes to the park in sweatshirts!!

Snow day January 2014

Our third snow day this year and our biggest totals so far. A solid 6 inches was enough for us to venture to the Soderro's house for pizza, sledding, hot cocoa, dinner, playing, and movies all day. They had so much fun, Alison fell fast asleep face down on the couch!!! Great time and we even got another snow day the next day:)

Alison's First Soccer Practice

She was sooooo excited to play!! Of course, we needed a new outfit and shoes for the occasion. Her friends from Goddard are also in the class, but they never left their parents and cried the whole time. Not Alison, ran away and never really looked back! Overall a successful event!

Lacrosse Clinic

After much begging, we broke down and registered Brody for a 5 week clinic at SPY. He loves it!! Hope he still enjoys it when it's outside at 8am on Saturday mornings this spring!

Happy 6th Birthday Brody!!

I can't believe how big my little guy is getting. We celebrated his birthday at home by going out to dinner and having cake, again at school with cupcakes, and finally at the barn with a Batman party. The party was was so fun!!! We had almost 20 kids join us to welcome Batman and play games, and of course, eat cupcakes! The kids LOVED the special guest and the games. Such a fun and exhausting day. If course, no birthday would be complete without a fever and cough!

Doc Lane

Loving the new vet kit they got for Christmas. They played vet for 3 hours!!! The funny part is they had a medical tools draft to see which parts of the kit they got to play with every 20 minutes or so! Too funny!!!

The Christmas vacation from @$&!

Its taken me a while to post about our vacation because the return was so horrible, I wanted to forget about it. I guess 3 weeks is enough time! It all started with Brody and I getting the stomach flu the weekend before we left. We were happy we got it over and done before the trip though. The kids were great on the plane even though we had a 4 hour layover in Chicago. Christmas at the Bianca's was great as was a trip to Portland the next day. That's when trouble hit and one by one, people came down with the stomach virus (just in time to spend some quality time in the cabin). Conditions at Mt. hood were the driest they have experienced for this Tim of year in a long time! A bunch of us went tubing one day on man made snow, then attempted skiing Meadows with Brody the next day. He had a great lesson and even skied on the bunny slope with us the rest of the afternoon. Jon took him up to Timberline to ski the next day with Danny, Beth, and Mike. He did awesome again minus falling off the lift:( fast forward to our return trip. Getting up at 3:30, returning the rental, and getting boarded was a breeze. After waiting in Chicago for our connection, we learned our flight was cancelled. The next flight they could get us all on was 2 days later!!!! We made the quick decision to rent ANOTHER car and drive 14 hours home in a snow storm home. It was awful!! The kids were such troopers through the whole ordeal! The best part was finding our car had a flat tire when we got to the airport, I nearly died right then and there! I then vowed that we will never go on a trip ever again...what a nightmare!!!

The first game...50-2. We didn't win.
