Christmas came early
Since we were going to Vancouver on Christmas Day, Santa came two days early so the kids could enjoy their toys for 2 days. Brody and I were coming off the stomach flu so it was nice to be stuck inside and play toys for a while:)
Memorial Day Fun 2014
Another Memorial Day is almost in the books and we have kicked off summer in the best way!! Friday night we enjoyed a cookout at the beach park, then the next day we finally finished our deck!!! Brody enjoyed a fun sleep over with his best bud, and Jon took them fishing in the morning:) we finished up Sunday with the annual Zierhoffer beach cook out. The kids of course played all day at the beach with our neighbors while we enjoyed ourselves. The weather was perfect and I hope this is a glimpse of what the summer has in store. The best part is we still have one more day!!!
Our Latest ER Trip
Brody and Alison were playing hide and seek, when Brody ran into a door latch while covering his eyes (he learned an important life lesson I'm sure). Of course he cut open his eyebrow...for the third time. So off to the ER we went. I was still gun shy from the last eyebrow incident when they had to sedate him to fix it but went in with a positive outlook!! After topical annesthetic, he let the doctor pop in 10 stitches without a flinch! So now he has a huge gash above his eye, no pool for 48 hours, and an orange Gatorade mustache from drinking 3 of them at the hospital. Could be worse!!!

The kids had a great time seeing the Crones, the Fithens, and uncle Nate even visited with Rebecca and Baby Elliotte. Brody's First Tooth!!
Brody FINALLY lost his first tooth at dinner tonight! He wiggled it and wiggled it at the table until I finally took the initiative and ripped it out. He was sooo excited! The tooth fairy is visiting for the first time and he is very ready. He's hoping for $100...he will be so disappointed when he finds $2
Snow day (what feels like the 43rd one)
ANOTHER storm has managed to cripple the region and again, we find ourselves home from school. We fared much better than the western part if the state, but the rain in too of the 6+inches has made it annoying to shovel. Of course Jon is away on a ski trip so we are left here to deal with the snow, but we are having a great day!! We (with the help of our fabulous neighbors) have cleared the driveway as well as others on the street, made three snowmen, a fort, and had hot cocoa. Nothing is better than a cozy blanket and a movie after being in the cold, or in Alison's case, a stone cold passed out nap! Hopefully this is our last hurrah with snow!!! I miss spring!!!

Snow day January 2014
Our third snow day this year and our biggest totals so far. A solid 6 inches was enough for us to venture to the Soderro's house for pizza, sledding, hot cocoa, dinner, playing, and movies all day. They had so much fun, Alison fell fast asleep face down on the couch!!! Great time and we even got another snow day the next day:)
Alison's First Soccer Practice
She was sooooo excited to play!! Of course, we needed a new outfit and shoes for the occasion. Her friends from Goddard are also in the class, but they never left their parents and cried the whole time. Not Alison, ran away and never really looked back! Overall a successful event!
Lacrosse Clinic
After much begging, we broke down and registered Brody for a 5 week clinic at SPY. He loves it!! Hope he still enjoys it when it's outside at 8am on Saturday mornings this spring!
Happy 6th Birthday Brody!!
I can't believe how big my little guy is getting. We celebrated his birthday at home by going out to dinner and having cake, again at school with cupcakes, and finally at the barn with a Batman party. The party was was so fun!!! We had almost 20 kids join us to welcome Batman and play games, and of course, eat cupcakes! The kids LOVED the special guest and the games. Such a fun and exhausting day. If course, no birthday would be complete without a fever and cough!
