Beach Park

Today was absolutely gorgeous so we made our way to the Beach Park while Daddy and Papa golfed.  Brody made it there and back on his scooter and Ali walked in her full Princess outfit (which she insisted she wear).  She stopped to say hi to every person she encountered and even spun around to show off her dress when people told her how much they liked her outfit (such a ham!).  They had a blast playing in the sand and playground!  I tried to get a good picture of the two of them, but 1.  didn't realize my lens had a smudge on it and 2. took pictures in weird light.  Of couse after I got the camera situated, the kids wanted NOTHING to do with me taking their picture.  The trip home consisted of me chasing Ali in the road as she ran crying bc she wanted to ride the scooter and yelling at Brody to stop playing in the storm drains.  Taking them anywhere is exhausting!

Yo Ho Ho

Going on a treasure hunt with his first mate
Checking the treasure map he made

The two of them couldn't have been cuter when they were playing pirate the other day.  Brody meticulously made a map with a stream, cave, and even Haunted Blueberry Hill.  He enjoyed barking orders at Ali and strangely enough, she listened!  They both had swords and screamed "Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Rum" in the front yard as they were hunting for the box of treasure Brody hid in a bush.  They are so stinkin' cute sometimes!!!

I hate Legos

This is what quiet time looks like at our house.  If he gets anymore Legos I will send that person a puppy.  True story.

Easter

The Easter Bunny was VERY good to the kids this year!
Dying eggs the night before.  The smocks didn't help by the way

Every egg Ali was in charge of was cracked bc she threw it as hard as she could into the bowl and splashed the dye straight up into the air.  I nearly had a nervous breakdown
The Easter Bunny even brought Brody a new scooter
 Rock star
Dr. Alison to save the day!

Everything was going fine until Brody decided to ride his scooter around the house.  After hitting the transition strip into the kitcheh, he flew off the scooter into the stool and got a huge egg on his head.
Then we had to take a picture of his injury so he could see it.

Favorite toy?  A bowl full of suds!

Baltimore Aquarium

Loving every single minute of the trip
Thank God there were two of us because they were EVERYWHERE!!!

 Starting to peter out
Half hearted silly face.  They really just wanted to keep going to see the sharks
After waiting in line forever, we made the decision to get a annual pass to the aquarium since it was only another $20.  The kids LOVED it and ran to see everything.  It will be a useful pass this summer when I run out of things to do with them at home in the heat:)

When it rains...

...we take out every single toy we own and build a city!

A very belated Valentine's Post

Lots of things going on in the Lane house = Mom is too tired to update the blog!  After a 2+ month hiatus, I PROMISE I will be more vigilant in updating and posting pics:)  Since the last time I posted, we have been consumed with Soccer twice a week, 2 sets of swim lessons, school, work, Nana moving in, and prepping for the big construction to begin Tuesday.  Not to mention the few weekend jaunts we had thrown in there to Rhode Island and NYC.  So I shall begin at the beginning and go from there.
Working diligently to write out what felt like a million Valentine's Day Cards
Getting so much better at his name!

40 Homemade cards later...Damn you Pinterest!!!
Working hard on that name
