When there is no power, you have plenty of time to take pictures! These are over the course of 3 days (unfortunately). Thank goodness we finally got it back. Our neighborhood was pretty beat up. Hopefully no more storms come our way!!!
Brody worked VERY hard doing chores (taking in the garbage, putting his clothes away, clearing the table, taking out the recycling, cleaning up toys, doing dishes) for 2 weeks so he could earn a LEGO truck he wanted!
Its been an awesome summer. Now that we have a bigger house, we are lucky enough to put up more guests! First, Missy, Eric and thier daughter Lyla came to dunner. The girls definately hit it off immediately. The next weekend, Gretchen, Steve and their new son Matthew (who may be the best baby ever) and Lisa, Bobby and their daughter Stella all stayed the weekend. Lets just say there was alot of wine, beer, and bottles. We had a great time!
Alison's hair is OUT OF CONTROL! It's driving me crazy and its not even that long yet. It curls and colicks everywhere. Good thing I have experience with this sort of thing:)
As usual, we made our way to Animal Land while on vacation. It is the best zoo for the kids because it is so small, they have tons of animals, a safari ride, and you can get really close to the animals. Ali even recognized the giant giraffes and screamed "Gigi" (that's what she calls her giraffe). Brody loved feeding all of the animals and it was so much fun spending the day with Nana.
While we were visiting Saratoga Springs last week, Nana was nice enough to watch the kids with Aunt Kathy while Jon and I enjoyed opening weekend at the track. As tradtion goes in the clubhouse at the Racetrack, I donned a GIANT hat. It was so much fun and I even won $15! That evening we had a great time going out to dinner in downtown. There was a block party so most of downtown was blocked off with bands. We had a blast (and maybe too much fun)!
