Our Halloween cake

We had an awesome family weekend carving and painting pumpkins, baking cakes, trick or treating, and enjoying the Halloween festivites at our friend Mandy and Vin's house. Brody had a fantastic time going house to house to get treats. He kept asking us if the candy was all his and had no problem going right up to each house and saying, "Trick or Treat!" He and Ashley were hysterical in thier costumes and even found a leaf pile to roll around in for a while. Ali could care less about her cumbersome costume. In fact she took a nap for 3o minutes or so during the parade. It was a great night, even if Brody kept going in the corner to sneak candy...

In my Bumbo

Ali loves sitting in her Bumbo seat! With thighs like hers though, I'm not sure how much longer she'll fit in it. Brody never got a chance to use it.

Thursday Brody's daycare all went to Green Meadow Farms for a field trip. How tiring! Camilla and Kylie and I had 2 one year olds, 3 two year olds, 3 three year olds and a baby to corral in a field where the kids could ride tractors, pet animals, and find a pumpkin. It was very exhausting to keep all the kids in a group! Brody had us all laughing hysterically when he snuck into the chicken pen without an adult and started dancing and making sounds like a chicken. Everyone had a fantastic time and I can see why we pay so much for daycare!!!

Growing up

After a MAJOR meltdown, you can still see the tears

Enough with the camera...

Brody watching Cars (notice the gash on his face, we have no idea how he got it but we know he did it during the night in his room)

Ali is definately growing up too fast! She loves her exersaucer and sitting in her high chair while I cook dinner. She has rolled over from her back to her belly a few times and even from her belly to her back. She is sleeping from 7 to 6 pretty consistently (even though she has been waking up in the middle of the night, she just talks to herself for a little while...we are too smart to go in there!). Brody continues to be a great big brother by entertaining her in the car and in her exersaucer by dancing and making silly faces. Ali thinks he's hysterical!

Nice hat Daddy!

Brody has really been into playing sports lately. He plays them about the same; throw the ball to you, attack you to get the ball, then jump on top of the ball. The variations include: yelling "Hut Hut" for football before he runs into you full force, starting face-off style for Lacrosse before he attacks you with a stick to knock out your ball, and kicking you for soccer. He definately has "the eye of the tiger" to say the least. I'll be suprised if I survive his toddler years unscathed...
