29 Weeks: Lady Lane

Here are the lastest pictures of Baby Lane. She weighs 3 lbs 1oz and is about 15 1/2 inches. The doctor predicted that she'll weigh close to 9 lbs at 40 weeks with an "exceptional head circumfrence". Can't wait.

Brody is doing much better than last weekend. It figures that the first nice weekend we get, he has a fever and a cough. I will have to take more pictures of him now that he feels well again.

Beautiful Weekend

It was the first nice weekend in maybe forever. I forgot what 50 degrees feels like! Auntie Kate came for a visit and boy was it eventful! Yesterday, while we were looking for the parts for his bike handle, Brody managed to lock himself in the closet under the stairs! Thank goodness Kate was here to save the day because I wasn't handling the situation very well. She was able to take the handle off and all was well. Also, Brody rode on his bike up to the playground and decided to try and put dog poop into the back of his bike. We had to quickly wash and sanitize his hands...it was so GROSS. As you can see though, he is in love with his bike. I think he'll be ready to ride it alone this summer! Don't worry everyone...the helmet is on the way!

Brody’s New Room

Last Saturday Brody was upgraded into a big boy bed, and I really do mean big boy.  He now sleeps in a full sized bed with a headboard and footboard.  It requires him to use a step stool in order to get in.  Since the bed was so big we had to move his room to the other bedroom so all of his furniture could fit.  It was a HUGE pain but it really looks nice!

I am not going to lie…I was terrified of how he was going to react at bedtime since he climbed in and out of his crib all of the time.  I am  surprised and happy to report that the transition was a HUGE success!  Its been a week and he still hasn’t climbed out at night.  He goes to bed with about 4 blankets, three pillows, 15 stuffed animals, and about thirty or forty of his favorite books.  We read a book, sing a song and its off to bed with no protests!  I hope my luck doesn’t run out!!!!

These pictures are of Brody lounging around in his new bed sans pajamas and a diaper  catching up on his reading…he’s a real piece of work.
