Waaaaaakkkee UPPPPP!

Almost sitting up all by myself

Cuddle Bugs

Loving watching Brody

Getting ready for kisses

Brody loves climbing into Ali's bed when she wakes up in the morning and cuddling her. He has been especially nice to her now that she's not feeling too well. I took Monday off and found out she has an ear infection in her left ear. Good thing we caught it before we left for Oregon next Saturday! We also found out that Alison weighs 19 lbs 15 oz. No wonder my back has been sore...

Brody the Builder

Brody's new outfit thanks to Auntie Kate. I especially love the suspenders...

Dada

Well I guess Mom is chop liver...

6 Months Old

Explaining the subtle nuances of the film CARS
Eying Brody's milk

My hand is much more interesting than Lightning McQueen

Happy girl

Seriously, give me the food

No, I really mean it

I guess I'll just eat my bib then

Alison is still our little angel. She is so pleasant and easy going, we all just love her (including big brother Brody)! She is almost sitting up and rolls over if EXTREMELY necessary (meaning shes too chunky and doesn't do it very often). She is eating about 38 oz. of formula and two meals a day now. She has also started saying dada and such (which makes me so sad...what about MAMA???). She goes to the doctor for her check up Wednesday and I'll report on her growth but Im sure shes about 19 or 20 lbs (just ask my aching back!).

Oh Christmas Tree

Our perfect tree
The new 2010 family ornament

Brody's new ornament

Alison's first ornament

Brody assessing the tree cart at the tree farm

Yes, those are his ski goggles (he insisted on wearing)

Ali and Mom bundled up...it was VERY cold out!

Riding on the cart

Saturday we all got bundled up and drove to southern Anne Arundel County to get our fresh Christmas tree. It was quite the trip to say the very least. First of all, Brody wore his fireman boots and goggles which were a huge problem because he kept falling over from tripping on his boots or losing one. There are not many pictures from the tree farm simply because we were so busy holding Ali (who was sleeping), cutting down the tree, and putting on Brody's boots (Jon definitely drop kicked a boot across the field because he was so frustrated they kept falling off) over and over again.
Once the tree was on the truck, we were well on our way to Christmas cheer. That was until the tree started to fall off the truck on the highway. We promptly pulled over to fix it and as was well...that is until 3 miles later. The tree spun perpendicular to the roof and almost came off again. Jon got out of the car again and bungeed the tree tight to the luggage rack...or so we thought. Two minutes down the road the tree flew off the roof of the car and was hanging behind the truck. Jon and I were laughing SO hard we couldn't get out of the car to fix it! Brody didn't think it was as funny apparently because he was yelling, "Get my tree!" at the top of his lungs. We finally affixed the tree to the roof SUPER tightly and were successful in getting it home. Brody loved decorating it and is very into Christmas now. He looks for Santa Claus every night and has even watched the Polar Express about 10 times!

Dinner Buds

Brody insisted that Ali sit next to him at the dinner table tonight and held her hand the whole meal. It was SO adorable!

New Luggage

My new "packpack"
With a cell phone in the side pocket and all...ready to go

Silly face

Working on a hernia, seriously. This bag has about 4 big rigs in it not to mention the cars...

When you're two (almost three), it is important to have proper luggage for quick getaways and last minute vacations. Brody just got a roller "packpack" for all of his Cars paraphernalia. We figured this was an easier and more efficient way to get his big rigs to the west coast this Christmas without lugging them in a carry on that I have to carry. He loves rolling it around the house and saying, "Bye mommy see you later. I'm going far far far away!"
