Firetruck

Brody is majorly obsessed with a firetruck at daycare. It is the first toy he looks for when he gets there and I have to pry it out of his hands when we leave. So, me being the sucker that I am, I bought him one at Target today and he is right in love. He played with it for about an hour straight and screamed bloody murder when we said good night to it (actually he hit me in the face and screamed no as he was dragged up the stairs). I really hope this tantrum thing goes away sooner than later!

The video is super cute because it has the sound Brody makes when he plays with the truck. He tries to make a siren sound! By the way, he NEVER shared the truck...

Some new updates

I know I know! I haven't been as good as I usually am but even though I am out of school, we have been EXTREMELY busy so I thought I would share some new updates on the little man.

Since I have been out of school, Brody has already contracted Coxsackie Virus from God knows where because no one at daycare had it. That was fun since he wouldn't eat anything for four days and was absolutly miserable and up all night (which he hasn't done since he was three months old!!!)

He has also really taken to the pool. He loves splashing in the toddler pool and has figured out how to blow bubbles and kick his feet on his belly. He is turning into such a little boy!

Finally Brody has started saying alot more words (even if I am the only one who knows what he means!!) He can say more, no (his favorite of course), Oh No!!, fish, cookie, Daddy, Mom, truck, up, off, "what is that", "wherediditgo?" (which he holds his hands in the air and looks confused after he threw the toy far away), apple. and open. I think he may say a few more but I can't think of them right now. Its also nice now that I can ask him yes or no questions about what he wants and he can shake his head yes or say no...Thank goodness!

We are off to NY for the 4th so I will post more pictures when we return of the 6th. Happy 4th of July!

Ashley's pool

Splashin' up a storm!

We went over to Vin and Mandy's house for a cook out Saturday and the kids played in the kiddie pool on the deck. Boy they had a ball! I think the best part was watching Ashley stick her face near the water and try to drink it with her tongue while Brody bopped her on the head! They are such a mess!

What? This isn't a pool?

Brody climbed into his water table with all of his clothes on when we turned our backs last week. When we took off his wet clothes and diaper, he wanted to keep playing so we let him. Actually, we had no choice, we couldn't catch him for a while and we just gave up...

DC Zoo

Last Friday, Mimi, Auntie Kate, Brody and I all traveled into DC to visit the zoo. It was kind of warm and half of the zoo was closed for an event, but we had fun anyway. We got to see the pandas up close and also saw the elephants, cheetahs, and zebras. Brody was happy to just be out of his carriage running up the path as fast as he could! I think he thought that he was a wild animal!

Brody has been pretty sick lately with Croup, so there havn't been many pictures to post. Here are a few from the last couple of days. He has really kicked up the busy meter now that he is feeling better. Mimi has been in town watching him while daycare is on vacation and boy is she tired!
