Brushing my teeth

When we started brushing Brody's teeth, he was only mildly interested. Now that he gets to do it himself (with a little assistance from mom) with his own toothpaste, and he gets to stand on the toilet (which he gets on all alone), it has turned into a 10 to 20 minute affair. At least he'll have fresh minty breath! Mimi, you should be very happy:)

My new tent

Nana bought him a cool tent with tubes out the side and we set it up today. It is great because it just folds away. Seems like a good rainy day toy! Thank you Nana. By the way, check out his T-Shirt...he wore it to the Earth Day Celebration at Quiet Waters today..we are so good...

Monkey

Brody has recently been climbing on EVERYTHING!!!! His most recent stunts include jumping off the coffee table/toybox and the ottoman onto other furniture to either get something or just for fun. I caught him in the act today getting a box I put up and getting his microphone (that he sings E-I-E-I-O into all the time...really...all the time...) off the couch. No major falls yet. He did jump off the coffee table yesterday onto the carpet and realized that wasn't as fun or comfortable so he is a little more careful...Maybe I should go ahead and reserve an emergency room just for us.

Nice Day

Brody and I enjoyed the first warm day of spring today. This morning, we walked in the Earth Day 5K and hung out with Camilla (his babysitter) and her kids at Quiet Waters Park. After his big nap, weplayed outside in the back yard. He woke up with a really high fever from his nap, which explains his mood today. I am quite sure it is going to be a long night...He was such a good sport though today:) Can you tell his teeth are coming in??? His shirt is soaked!

Egg Hunt Video

I almost forgot to put this video in! My mind is so foggy with this cold that Brody gave me. We had to go to the Doctor's Friday for his 15 month checkup and low and behold, he had a fever and had to postpone his shots. It may be because he is getting more teeth. The good news is that he is still pretty tall for his age (about 32 and 3/4 inches which is in the 86th percentile) and not gaining so much weight, only 26lbs which is right at 50%. I don't have a clue why he is so tall, I am sure he'll make up for it by not growing at all for the next year:) Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Wagon Rides

No Easter would be complete without whiplash wagon rides from dad in the backyard. Quinn and Brody rode all over Nana's backyard and the faster, the better. Quinn got a little bored with it all when it wasn't moving, but Brody wanted more.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to NY this weekend for Easter and had an Easter Egg Hunt for Brody and his cousin Quinn who just turned a year old a few weeks ago. It was pretty funny watching them run around the backyard stealing each other's eggs! Brody especially liked the graham crackers and pretzel treats inside.

Catoctin State Park

Jon, Brody, Uncle Nate and I all went on a long 2 hour hike today near Fredrick MD. It was kind of a tough hike, especially for Nate who was carrying an extra 33 lbs! I am sure he will feel that tomorrow. It was very steep in places, but the veiw was worth it at the top of Chimney Rock. I almost had a heart attack when Nate got on top of this rock with Brody..but decided it was OK and took a picture instead:)
