Dancing Queen
Brody has started dancing alot lately. Its really funny. This is just the tip of the iceberg!
Quiet Waters Park
It was absolutly gorgeous outside on Sunday so Jon, Brody and I all ventured to Quiet Waters Park. We just bought a new hiking pack for him and were anxious to try it out since he outgrew the Bjorn carrier. We also discovered the best playground ever! We will definately be frequenting this park alot this year!

Easter bunny
We went to the mall today out of boredom and happened upon the Easter Bunny. There was no line, so we thought what the heck. Well, since this was an inpromptu visit, Brody looked like he had just been in a tornado. He had a scratch on his nose, his hair was out of control and his undershirt and diaper are hanging out. Needless to say, he looked great. I had to scan this picture so I apologize if it looks grainy. As a sidenote, Brody did not care what so ever about the Easter bunny. He thought that he was funny and was not scared about sitting on his lap, it didn't bother him at all!!! The best part was when the Easter bunny gave him a small foil wrapped chocolate egg and Jon had to run around the mall trying to get it from him. When he finally got it out of his hands, it was missing foil (in his mouth) and melted all over. Stupid rabbit...

My Sword
Daddy bought Brody a giant 4 foot long Nerf sword at Toys R Us. We have to take it everywhere with us including in his high chair and the car. He hits you in the head while your driving...it's really fun. So far, he has mangaged to knock two pictures off the wall and jab me in the eye with it. Good work Dad.. By the way, I apologize for the lack of quality of these pictures, he is EXTREMELY hard to capture on film, kind of like bigfoot.
Ashley's 1st Birthday
Brody's buddy Ashley turns one this week and we went to her house to celebrate with cupcakes on Saturday. She got lots of fun toys and clothes and did an awesome job of opening her presents. Brody tried to help, but I think he was more in the way (see 2nd picture from the top). It's amazing how little kids always want the same thing no matter how much other cool stuff is around!

"Brody in the Box"
This morning I cut a door and windows in the washing machine box. He seriously did this for an hour and a half. It never got old and was hysterical each time!

My new box
We got a new dishwasher today and of course, with it comes a great big box. Brody had fun all day playing with the styrofoam sticks and walking in and out of the box. FYI, I made cabbage rolls and pierogis for dinner tonight and Brody ate it like it was going to be stolen off his plate. He eats the weirdest things for a kid!

Swim class
Brody and Dad took their first swim lesson today at Big Vanilla Health Club. They had so much fun. All Brody was interested in was the noodle they gave him to ride on. He wouldn't let go of it the whole lesson (Notice the picture of the class and Brody is the ONLY one with a noodle)! Next time, I am going to work out while the boys go and swim!

Starting to talk
Ok, so I have tried to get Brody on tape saying the few words that he says and I think that it is near impossible! I finally got him saying "up" which he says all of the time, and "What is it?" which he usually says with his hands up in the air and turned out. It really is kind of cute. He is also saying "apple" (which is all food), mom, "dada", "nonononono" and "all done". His other funny joke he plays is that he pretends he is going to bite your leg, then gets real close and forces out this laugh and shakes his head no. He plays this game over and over when he thinks your not paying attention to him. I can't wait until he can talk, he gets so frustrated when he can't tell me what he wants.
Tool Bench
First Snow Storm
Today I had no school so Brody and I got to spend the day together! We got about 6 inches of snow and of course, everything down here kind of shut down. A big branch from our tree broke off in the middle of the night into our neighbor's front yard, thank goodness it missed his cars and house! After Brody's nap we bundled up and headed out on the back deck to play in the snow. As I was putting Brody's boots on, I noticed they were a bit small but figured we would only be out a little while anyway. When we got outside, Brody just stood there and kind of waved at the snow and touched it. When he started to walk toward me, he fell forward, like a tree, and didn't catch himself. He had snow all over his face and I am sad to admit, I was laughing hysterically. He didn't cry, but you could tell he wasn't exactly pleased either!
