Since Jon was out of town the last time we went to the pumpkin patch, we decided to go again today because it was absolutely gorgeous out! The farm was great, lots to do. Brody was particularly amused with the goat. We also enjoyed lunch, a hayride, and a 33 pound pumpkin... we are all very exhausted! I am making apple brown betty with the apples we bought today...can't wait for dessert! Here are a few of the best pictures from today and a video of the hayride.

Peek a boo!
Here is a video of Brody playing peekaboo with his hat. I (of course) only caught the tail end of the game. It's like trying to film bigfoot...
Funny story
Brody and I went to the market last week. In the checkout lane he gets fussy in the cart so I usually give him my cellphone or wallet. After playing with it, he dropped it on the floor. As I was retrieving my belongings, the woman behind me gasped, "Oh my goodness", and I looked up. I then saw Brody standing up in the cart (he somehow managed to wriggle through the safety belt on the seat). As I stood up to grab him, he leaped onto the checkout belt hysterically laughing. I almost died! He's wearing me out! Here are some pictures from yesterday and today. Have a good one!

Naked Baby!
Brody was a little crazy after his bath tonight. He was super squirmy (too squirmy to put a diaper on) so I let him play sans clothes. He was being so cute that I video taped it. He's kind of obsessed with the stairs so that's why I had to turn off the video so quick! The pictures are after his manic play upstairs. He decided he needed to relax with a bottle before bed...

Fun Weekend
Brody had his first tailgate yesterday. We met up with friends at the Navy/Pittsburgh tail gate and had a blast! All Brody wanted was to be with the guys. I guess he's had enough of me! After the game (sorry but no pictures-I forgot my camera!!!), Brody and I went to Amy's for a sleepover. When he woke up, he had a cold :( He's been a little miserable today.
Since its been getting so chilly, we took out Brody's winter hat. We then decided that he needed to model it. He wore it around the living room while he played and we took pictures. Here are some of the better ones. By the way...he just got done eating dinner. That's why his face is dirty. I'd rather clean it in the tub than wrestle with him in the high chair. Sometimes you just have to pick your battles...

Let me do it!
Brody has been very independant lately. Tonight he wanted to try and feed himself using a spoon. Like a dope, I let him...with spaghetti sauce and pasta!
New York
Its been a while! We all went to New York last weekend to visit Nana, Mimi, Grampie and family. We had a wonderful time but were exhausted! Jon and I had a wedding to go to in Syracuse on Sunday and drove home on Monday with Brody. It took us almost nine hours to get home altogether. When we were there, we were able to visit with alot of my family at my mom's house (for dinner). Brody and his cousin Quinn put on quite the show. Quinn just turned 7 months and is already giving her mom a run for her money. Here are a few pictures of the two of them playing. I like the video of Brody trying to kiss Quinn the best. They are just too cute!

9 Month check up
Today, Brody went to the doctors for his 9 month check up. He is doing very well! He has six teeth, has met all 10 month (and alot of 12 month) milestones, weighs 22 lbs 5 oz and is 28 inches tall. We also got the green light for all food except peanuts, chocolate, shellfish, and honey. He had a cheese stick and green beans for lunch and was in hog heaven (he would eat green beans all day if he could-he even picks them out first of anything I give him). I also gave him scrambled eggs to try and he sucked those down too. I am packing to go to NY for the weekend. Jon, Brody, Murphy, and I are driving up after work tomorrow. That drive should be interesting. I will post pictures of the weekend when we get back on Monday. I am off to get the oil changed in my car with Brody-wish me luck!

whasat?
Yup, "whasat" is what Brody says all of the time now. I think he's trying to say "What's that?" becuase I say it probably 400 times a day. I got him on camera saying it only once. Also, he has started to crawl normally now, and I got that on film too. It seems like whenever I take out my camera, he immediatly stops what he's doing on purpose. What a turkey!
Pumpkin Patch
I forgot to post these! Sometimes I don't know where my head is. Mandy and her daughter Ashley and Brody and I went to Baugher's Farm to get a pumpkin. We had a blast! Brody had his first whole apple. Then we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch where our friends Nikki and Matt helped us carry our pumpkins back. There was hayrides, bands, lunch, make your own scarecrows...all sorts of fun fall stuff! We even bought some apples and apple cider for Jon and Mandy's husband Vin since they couldn't make it. What a great day!
PS-Yes Ashley is wearing a Yankees hat and no Brody will not be allowed to be friends with her when they get older because of that.
Hangin' at home
Ok, I figured out how to shrink the videos from my new camera so the file wasn't so big. Here is Brody trying to get the dog (as usual). He loves to try to break through the gate. Also, here are a few pictures of him playing with the phone (his favorite "toy"). He is such a ham...I wonder where he gets it from? He also re-injured his eye yesterday so you can really see his black eye in some of these pictures! I especially enjoy the last one...it looks like he had to much to drink!

"Tot Lot"
Black Eye
Last night Brody and I were playing and he fell into the coffee table and hit his eye! It immediately turned black and blue. Thank goodness it looks better today. You can kind of see it in these pictures. This was before I washed his face from dinner (obviously). Jon is away until Sunday...these are going to be a long couple of days...We are hoping to get a clean bill of health from the doctor tomorrow so we can try to go out of town this weekend. We'll see.
