Eating O's

As I have said earlier, Brody has started eating finger foods and he doing quite well with it I must say. I took a video of him yesterday eating O's and his teething cookie. The pictures are of what he looked like AFTER eating the teething biscuit for twenty minutes...Yummy! Murphy is learning to appreciate Brody eating finger foods...extra treats for him!

Teeth!

Brody has had quite a time with his teeth for the past month and finally, there is some good news. Last week (as I had already said), one of his teeth popped through. Well, it must have inspired the rest because two more have popped and another is about ready to come through too! He now has two top teeth and one bottom. I feel so bad for him, it must hurt an awful lot. He even had a temperature yesterday of almost 101! He is better now though...Mimi, Auntie Kate and I held him down and opened his mouth to take a picture of his teeth. Very attractive I know...I put the other pictures up because he looked so cute in them!

Houston, we have a problem

Sorry for not writing in such a long time. I started work this past week and have been extremely busy getting my room together for the kids next week. I have just fallen into bed every night at 9:00! My mom "Nana" came for the week to watch him because daycare doesn't start until next week (boo!). She is soooooooo exhausted...I am sure that she was happy to get into her own quiet house.

Brody has become extremely efficient at "the worm" crawl and I doubt that he'll ever really crawl becuase his is so good at this. I attatched a video (sorry that it is so dark) because it is too hard to describe. He is so funny now but very exhausting. He is everywhere all of the time! Changing his diaper and clothes has become a gigantic undertaking as he twists and turns and squirms away. He is also starting to pull himself up onto things (like the DVD player and cable box). And of course, as all kids do, he loves plugs, wires, cell phones, and the remote. Basically anything and everything that he should not play with.

He has also started to eat by himself. He loves to eat cheerioes with his hands but they stick to his hands and he gets really mad (which is kind of funny!). And finally...this is the best news for me...one of the four teeth that are on the edge of popping through cut this morning! He now has his first tooth! His teething has been the bane of my existance for the last month and now they are finally here! Thank god! I will try to post more pictures this weekend but here are some for now.

Holding a bottle

Brody has been listening to me! I have been begging him to hold his bottle and now he can. He only does it with the 4oz. bottle and he takes it out of his mouth and shakes it alot but it's a step in the right direction!

Playing Ball

Brody just got this baseball toy and he loves to hit everything with the bat. He also started clapping yesterday. I tried to tape it but of course, he only did it for a second. Maybe he's camera shy...

Hiking

Saturday Jon, Brody, Murphy and I all went on a short 3 mile hike in Catoctin State Park in Fredrick, MD. It was such a gorgeous day! Brody had a great time and didn't cry the whole hike. The only pain we ran into was that Murphy pooped about 100 ft into the hike and I had to carry his poop bag for three miles...he's such a turkey!

Blueberries

Brody had his first blueberries today and ended up wearing most of them. I dropped the spoon and on my way to get another...Brody got ahold of the bowl and started "drinking" it. Here are some of the pictures.

Bathing Beauty

We went over to our friends Mandy and Vin's house yesterday for a BBQ. They have a hot tub that is not "hot tub temperature", just bath water. Brody loved it! The only problem was he didn't let us put his swimmy diapers...

Baugher's Farm

Brody had his first trip to a farm today. We went to Baugher's Farm in Westminster to pick some peaches and we had a great time. Brody has been having trouble with his teeth lately (especially last night) so we thought we would get out of the house for a while. We rode on a tractor and bought some watermelon for Brody (his favorite). Good thing we went before the thunderstorms hit!
