New tricks

Yesterday Jon and I were playing with Brody and sticking out tongues out at him (as usual :) and he did it back at us! I am quite sure that since we laughed so hard, he continued to do it over and over. We tried to get it on camera, but Brody is way more interested in the actual camera than doing anything cute for it! Thank goodness I caught him today (after sticking my tongue out at him over and over...) We think that he is quite the character! We have a busy week of getting ready for our trip to the Outer Banks. I am sure that we will have lots and lots to share when we get back!

Birthday Boys

Since today is my birthday, Jon got Brody up, changed and even fed him. Then they promptly fell asleep after playing on the floor! Just bought Brody a size 2 rash guard for the beach so he could wear it for a long time. I tried it on him last night and...not so tight! It's pretty sad when your five month old son can wear toddler clothes. Hope to have a fun day today despite the heat!

Jumping bean

I almost forgot this! Brody loves jumping up and down now. I have no idea where he gets the energy from. He did this the whole time he was in the exersaucer in Rhode Island. ALSO...we put him on the scale (unofficially of course) and he now weighs about 19 or 20 lbs! Our little bruiser is getting huge!

Rhode Island

Brody and I just returned from a five day stay in Rhode Island. We had alot of fun at Mimi's house. Brody was AWESOME on the plane both ways despite the delays, boarding/unboarding drama and thunderstorms coming back.

On Thursday, we met up with Meghan and her daughter Caroline to go to the zoo. We saw the butterfly exhibit and met lots of new friends. Brody got a little tired so Meg strapped him in the Ergo and carried him while he took a nap. Brody also got his first kiss!

Brody had a great time in Auntie Cheryl's pool with the family. At first he wasn't so sure, but after a while, he had a blast.

All in all it was a great time. We were sad to go, but happy to be home with daddy!

First Post

I have been bothered by enough people! Here is our new blog so you can see EXACTLY what is going on in our (especially Brody's) lives. I'll probably update it weekly or so. I am new to this so you all will have to bear with me!

Brody is rolling over now consistantly (see the video below). The only problem now is that he wants to go forward. We thought that he was mad that he couldn't roll himself back over, BUT...he can and is not interested in that at all. I am reluctant to say that he will be mobile soon (much to my dismay and to Jon's excitement). I liked it better when he would sit in his blue bouncy chair and play, so much easier!

Brody and I are off to Rhode Island this weekend. I am a little nervous about flying with him alone but I am sure that I will manage. I will post pictures of our trip when I return. We are going to be constantly doing something all week so I am sure there will be alot to report.

We are going to enjoy a relaxing Father's Day. I hope that everyone else can do the same!
