E-I-E-I-O

Here is a video of Brody singing Old MacDonald with me today. He started doing it this morning and Jon and I thought is was a fluke, but sure enough, when you sing it to him, he sings it back to you! I think the funniest part of the video is that he thinks I am taking a picture of him so he is "smiling" like a fool. He is getting more and more daring with his walking...yesterday he walked about eight feet by himself. He is also saying something that sounds like"yes", but when you ask him to say it, he shakes his head no. I tried all day to get that on film to no avail!

First Steps

Brody has been "daring" us with his walking. Lately he has really stepped up his game. He took 6 steps in the hair salon today and more at home. I tried to get it on video, but again, only got a couple steps. I have a very bad feeling that within a few weeks, we will be off and running...

The pictures are from yesterday when I was getting dinner ready. Brody always plays in the tupperware drawer while I cook. When I turned around, he had crawled inside the drawer and proceeded to take out ALL of the tupperware. It was really funny

My first haircut

Yummy! Treats!

Eating my cookie...
Give me that comb!

Well, against many wishes (haha), Brody and I went on an outing today to cut his long flowing locks. He did awesome! He actually could care less that someone was touching his head with scissors. It's OK Mimi...we only cleaned up the whispys. The place we went to only cuts children's hair so there were firetruck chairs, movies playing, toys to play with while we waited, crackers, and they even gave us this super cute card with his picture in it and a lock of hair.

More hat pics

I think that I am a little obsessed with the hat...I wanted to put some on of him happy in it! All it took was the remote and duck noises!

Oh Christmas Tree...

We drove to East Jamoke today to cut down Brody's first Christmas tree. Of course we picked the coldest day so far this year, but there was no complaining from the little one (or the big one)! He was very excited to be outside. We drove down with the Crones (as usual) and I think we picked a good one! Brody doesn't seem very interested in touching the tree yet, however I am sure that will all change when we decorate it tomorrow night!

Get it off!

I am so mean...I don't think Brody likes his new hat...

The Acrobat

Here is a video of Brody diving in and out of his toy box. He did this for about 25 minutes this evening... I thought it was hysterical!

Professional Pictures

I also got pictures taken of Brody the last time we were in upstate. Here is the website. Some are a little weird, but there are a few really cute ones, especially if you crop some of the stuff in the background out.

Playing at Mimi's

Here are just some pictures I took of Brody in Rhode Island. He is quite the ham (I wonder where he gets that from...). I love the pictures of him in his tailgate chair watching Elmo. Its like he's a little man, all he needs is a beer!

My buddy Kaz

The Morosetti's joined us for THanksgiving dinner and Lobster dinner in Rhode Island. It was nice to see them since they just moved from Denver. Here are a few pictures of thier little boy Kaz (who is almost 7 months old) playing with (or near) Brody. See you at Christmas time!

Thanksgiving

We packed up the car last TUesday and drove to RI for the holiday weekend. We had so much fun seeing everyone. Brody especially liked being with Auntie Kate, Mimi, and Nana. We also got to visit Murphy (who I don't think was very happy to see us!). As expected, Brody terrorized the animals and tore the house apart. He is so eager to walk, he has been taking three steps here and there. He also learned to climb up and down the stairs at Mimi's house (and that was all he wanted to do...). Here are some pictures of Brody eating turkey and stuffing and playing (with my keys...he puts everything in his mouth like a dog and walks with it hanging out...its quite attractive).
The cupcakes are the fruit of my labor. It was almost a disaster, but I think they ended up cute!

Who needs toys?

I am convinced that Brody will never play with real toys at our house. He has a trunk full of toys and he still only plays with the salad tongs, plastic cups, and the collinder. Here are a few videos of him playing. I have been trying to tape him shaking his head no (which is hysterical) and taking steps to and from the couch, but he stops doing things when I take out the camera. It's a royal pain! He is a "special" child...and by special I mean he's a weirdo...a very cute one though!

Weekend with the Family

This past weekend, Brody and I flew to Nana Rockwell's house to visit Grampie Rockwell and Grandma Marie, Grandma Jake, Mimi, and Auntie Kate (who drove in from RI). THe plane ride was great on the way up, but kind of tedious on the ride back. He refused to be in my lap and wanted the guy next to me to hold him! We had a lot of fun though all weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Thanksgiving. Here are some pictures of B and his new snowsuit jacket and other random pictures from the weekend.

Weekend with Dad

Two weekends ago, Jon took care of Brody all alone while I got some R & R in NY with my friends from college. Here are some of the pictures that he took...

Practicing walking

Here are a few videos of Brody trying to walk using his truck. I think he's getting close.

My new toy box

Brody has systematically destroyed our coffee table. FInally we gave in and bought a "chest" that duels as a coffee table/storage chest. He loves it. He takes everything out, then puts everything in. His favorite toys to play with in there are a room key card, a water bottle, salad tongs, an egg carton, his remote (our old TV remote), and his sandals from the summer. Good thing we spent all that money on new toys a while back...

Just reading

Here is Brody reading his favorite book. He is such the teacher's son!
