Swim Team 2015

Ali FINALLY made it across the pool for a swim meet:) it only took her countless hours of practice, hundreds of dollars of lessons, and a few bribes of ribbons and ice cream. Brody worked to perfect his free style and backstroke. It was a great season and we look forward to many more.

Ocean City NJ

Back at the blog!!! We returned from a long weekend trip to visit Summer, moms college roommate and her family. Brody had a blast boogie boarding everyday (even though he almost broke his neck in a giant wave!), and Ali enjoyed playing in the sand and jumping over the waves. The kids also had their first boardwalk experience and ride on all of the rides. Brody even talked mom into a ride on the graviton. Thankfully, everyone survived:)

Christmas came early

Since we were going to Vancouver on Christmas Day, Santa came two days early so the kids could enjoy their toys for 2 days. Brody and I were coming off the stomach flu so it was nice to be stuck inside and play toys for a while:) 

Our Spring Project: the deck

The deck is now in week 2 going on week three. The end is in sight, I can feel it!!! All we need now is a ton of furniture to fill this giant monstrosity, not that I'm complaining:) thank god for papas and friends that are willing to help!

Memorial Day Fun 2014

Another Memorial Day is almost in the books and we have kicked off summer in the best way!! Friday night we enjoyed a cookout at the beach park, then the next day we finally finished our deck!!! Brody enjoyed a fun sleep over with his best bud, and Jon took them fishing in the morning:) we finished up Sunday with the annual Zierhoffer beach cook out. The kids of course played all day at the beach with our neighbors while we enjoyed ourselves. The weather was perfect and I hope this is a glimpse of what the summer has in store. The best part is we still have one more day!!!

Our Latest ER Trip

Brody and Alison were playing hide and seek, when Brody ran into a door latch while covering his eyes (he learned an important life lesson I'm sure). Of course he cut open his eyebrow...for the third time. So off to the ER we went. I was still gun shy from the last eyebrow incident when they had to sedate him to fix it but went in with a positive outlook!! After topical annesthetic, he let the doctor pop in 10 stitches without a flinch! So now he has a huge gash above his eye, no pool for 48 hours, and an orange Gatorade mustache from drinking 3 of them at the hospital. Could be worse!!!
